WB/DC is doing their best to try and correct the “mistakes” of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The general audience reacted very negatively to the grim and gritty approach on two of the most iconic comic book heroes of all-time, which is why they’ve started course-correcting their hopefully-future DC Cinematic Universe by allowing some re-shoots on David Ayer‘s Suicide Squad.
Rumor has it that these re-shoots have been initiated to help adjust the film’s tone and to make it a little more fun and silly.
I hope that they aren’t butchering the film too much, because at the end of the day I’m mostly just interested in seeing Ayer’s uninterrupted vision of the film and not so much a lead up into The Justice League.
