Woody Allen is preparing his next film Nero Fiddled (formerly The Bop Decameron) for release, and he may be eyeing even more European capital cities as he goes. The film is written and directed by Allen, as well as marking his first on-screen appearance since Scoop in 2006. The film will also star Jesse Eisenberg, Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Penelope Cruz, and Ellen Page, and is said to be a love letter to the city of Rome.
However, THR has heard his people have been in Copenhagen, Denmark scouting locations for the next film. His producer Letty Aronson has denied these reports however, saying Allen has no plans to make a film in Copenhagen, although sources say he could be preparing for a 2013 shoot date in the city. Allen has wasted no time in getting as many films made as he can before he dies, something he has spoken on more than a few times. Personally, I feel he’s made the best films of his career the past 7 years, since he first went to Europe to make Match Point and kicked off a strong third act for his career, so I’m curious what he would do in Denmark.
