I Wish I Could Understand This ‘[REC] 4: Apocalypse’ Trailer

There’s a new trailer in town for the highly-anticipated sequel, [REC] 4: Apocalypse. The only downside is that it’s in Spanish and there’s no subtitles, so those of us that only speak English will want to sit this one out or watch it next to someone that can understand Spanish quickly and translate on the fly.

A lot of people didn’t care for the series’ decision to abandon the found-footage angle in part three, with that being a continued trend for part four. I’m not too sure where I stand just yet, because I thought the problems in the third film expanded much further than the film’s directing style, but it’s mood and tone and general feel when compared to the first two films, which are excellent pieces of modern horror.

The fourth film looks a little better, but still doesn’t recapture that same gory magic that had me shaking in my seat while discovering [REC] and [REC] 2.
