WB Getting Ready To Announce ‘Man Of Steel’ Sequel, Which May Or May Not Feature Batman

Comic Con is getting hot and heavy these past few days. I already covered some Amazing Spider-Man 2 news, plus a bad ass Riddick red band trailer and a not so great extended Kick-Ass 2 red band trailer.

Now, it’s time to switch gears and focus on some DC properties for a minute. The latest coming out of the Con is that WB will be announcing their Man of Steel sequel very soon, which may or may not feature Batman!

We’re assuming that Christopher Nolan will be producing, with Zack Synder directing and David S. Goyer (sigh) writing.

This is all just speculation at this point, but if it happens then we are left with a lot of questions that hopefully get answered. Will this be a reboot for the Batman character, since Christian Bale has mentioned several times that he’s done with the character or will Joseph Gordon-Levitt perhaps try and carry on the character from where he was left off in The Dark Knight Rises?

I have not the slightest clue. I was honestly hoping for a more Superman-focused Man of Steel sequel, because there were a lot of rough spots in the first film that needed smoothing and introducing a character as big as Batman will almost guarantee that none of that gets resolved.

We’ll keep you posted with more information as we get it.
