WB has released a decent amount of trailers and TV spots for Peter Jackson‘s upcoming film The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. But no matter how much footage they release people are still going to continue to knock on the film for two reasons. The first being that it was shot in 48FPS (known as HFR3D) and the second being that the novel has been split up into three films.
No one has even seen the film, yet they continue to bury it into the ground.
It’s almost saddening. I’ll admit that my anticipation hasn’t been too high, but I was never the biggest Lord of the Rings fan, so I’ve approached The Hobbit with the same amount of measured excitement. The later released trailers have looked much more promising and this new re-edit of the clips made into one long clip is great for easing you into the world previously established by Jackson.
It’s a rough edit, but I like it mostly for the music and heavy crossover with the Rings series.
Watch it below and let me know if you plan on checking the film out when it hits theaters on December 14th, 2012.
