Universal Will Release ‘Ted’ Sequel In April 2015

After becoming a surprise summer hit, Universal officially announced last fall that they would be developing a sequel to Seth MacFarlane’s R-rated comedy Ted starring himself and Mark Wahlberg. The Family Guy creator recently teased a release date after he tweeted, “We’re aiming for a 2015 Passover release date.” Universal has since confirmed that Ted will be back on the big screen April 3rd, 2015.

MacFarlane recently wrapped production on his western comedy A Million Ways To Die In The West, which is going to be released in theaters on May 30th, 2014. The story follows a sheep farmer (MacFarlane) who chickens out of a gunfight, causing his woman (Amanda Seyfried) to leave him. But that’s just the beginning of his problems as the mysterious wife (Charlize Theron) of an outlaw rides into town. She helps him find courage and makes him fall in love all over again. But when the woman’s dangerous outlaw husband (Liam Neeson) comes back to town, the farmer must stand up to the criminal to defend his honor. The cast also includes Giovanni Ribisi, Sarah Silverman, and Neil Patrick Harris.
