It’s no surprise that Universal has recently dated the two Fifty Shades of Grey sequels, titled Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, both of which will grace the big screen in their now comfy-slotted February month.
Darker is going to be landing on the 10th of February in 2017, while Freed will hit on February 9th of 2018. That gives us plenty of time to digest Fifty Shades of Grey, which I still haven’t decided if I hated or sort of liked.
The bigger surprise here is the official announcement of Furious 8, which will hit cinemas on April 14th, of 2017. I know Vin Diesel went on record and made comments about a possible sequel, because that’s what Paul Walker envisioned, but I’m still kind of shocked that this got confirmed so quickly.
Paul Walker is more a part of the Fast & Furious franchise than I think most people know, which was very apparent in Furious 7.
They really should leave this series alone or at best give it a new set of characters and storylines, while hopefully dropping the original “family” from the series altogether.
No cast or crew has been confirmed just yet, but keep your eyes peeled for more information as we get it.
