Title Track & 2 More TV Spots For Tom Cruise’s ‘Oblivion’

Universal has done a great job marketing their upcoming Tom Cruise-starring sci-fi flick Oblivion, directed by TRON: Legacy‘s Joseph Kosinski. The first trailer was disappointing, but the most recent one was solid and they released a track from the soundtrack, which sounds amazing and exactly like what we’d expect from M83 and Joseph Trapanese.

Now today we’ve got two more TV spots, with one showing us the explosion of the Moon and the other mostly featuring cut ups from previously released trailers. Both short spots focus on Morgan Freeman‘s involvement, which might hint at the film’s hidden story. I sure hope there isn’t some sort of lame twist squeezed in towards the end of the film, but at the same time I’m hoping the film comes with a few tricks up its sleeve.

As it stands Oblivion could either be a surprise hit or an expected stinker. I sure hope its not the latter.

Check out the two spots below:

Here’s the title track for the film, featuring Norwegian singer Susanne Sundfør:

Oblivion opens in theaters and on IMAX screens on April 19th, 2013.
