At Comic-Con director Peter Jackson was promoting his latest movie The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (or should I say movies?). Lots of people asked him about the two films and either by random babble or careful decision Peter Jackson mentioned having enough footage and story to shoot an entire third film, which would take place after the second Hobbit movie and before the Rings trilogy.
Bad Ass Digest takes that a step further and looks at Jackson’s options. There’s a lot of time covered between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, so Jackson could have his pick from dozens of stories, based on points established on the timeline.
I’m a fan of the Rings trilogy, but I’m in no way an expert, so most of this sounds like confusingly positive news. I’m looking forward to both Hobbit films and if Jackson really does have it in him for a third then by all means he should do it.
What do you think?
