Third Hobbit Film Gets Release Date And Name

Peter Jackson‘s The Hobbit trilogy is getting more confusing with each new piece of news revealed. First, the original film was going to get a massive 48fps push and now it’s only getting a limited release, but with no added surcharge. Then, Jackson went on and announced that he’s making a third film, which will come sometime after the already announced two.

Now, Variety is confirming the release of the third film and its subtitle. The third film in his Hobbit trilogy will be titled The Hobbit: There and Back Again, which was subtitle of the second film. The second film is now going to be called The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and the first will still be called The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

The first film releases on December 14th of this year, with TDOS coming to screens on December 13th, 2013 and the now-titled There and Back Again hitting on July 18th, 2014.

I’ve had enough Hobbit confusion for one day, so let’s hope they don’t release a new trailer anytime soon…
