The Wolverine To Start Shooting This August In Australia

Production will be ramping up shortly for The Wolverine, starring Hugh Jackman. The sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine will begin shooting this August in Australia, according to We Got This Covered.

3:10 to Yuma director James Mangold will be directing the sequel to possibly the worst X-Men film in existence. I’m in no way looking forward to the film, but something about it already sounds like it will be better than the previous attempt at an all-Wolverine film.

The film will take place in Japan this time around and star Hugh Jackman had this to say:

“I couldn’t be more excited to return to Australia to film the next chapter in the Wolverine saga, thanks to the significant support from the federal and NSW governments. It will be great to work with the highly talented crew and to provide employment opportunities to so many people across all levels of the industry. Not to mention, [wife] Deb and I will get to spend some time with the family back in Australia.”

The Wolverine is set to open up in theaters on July 26th, 2013.
