The Weinstein Company is shaking things up on the release front, flip-flopping Paul Thomas Anderson‘s The Master with Andrew Dominik‘s Killing Them Softly, which stars Brad Pitt.
Box Office Mojo is confirming that The Master has moved up from its October 12th release to September 14th, which as of right now is only a date for the limited release, with expansions following in the coming weeks.
Andrew Dominik‘s Killing Them Softly has been bumped back from September 21st until October 19th, which puts it up against Alex Cross and Paranormal Activity 4.
I’m not too worried about the shift, but I can say that I’ve been eagerly anticipating Killing Them Softly, ever since it was first announced. The Master looks equally impressive, if not slightly better, but it’s still new in my mind, which simply means I was more than ready to wait to see it until October.
I doubt the date changes has anything to do with either films quality, so don’t you worry!
