Captain America: The First Avenger hit theaters this past Friday. Check out my review by clicking here, if you haven’t already. It was a good film, but regardless if I liked it or not, one thing is for sure. The Avengers is coming and it’s going to be massive! What an all-star team of superheroes gathering under one production for one film, directed by Joss Whedon.
I won’t spoil the post credits ending scene for Captain America: The First Avenger, but if you’ve been following along at all, each film has been giving you a taste for what’s to come, so since Captain America is the last solo film until The Avengers, it was kind of obvious that the post credits scene was going to feature The Avengers in some way. So if you haven’t seen the film yet, go and do so already!
Some concept art has been released, including a banner that includes the entire cast, which is Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Thor and Nick Fury and friends. It’s a cool banner because it gives us a better look at both Hawkeye and Hulk. As you can see, Hulk looks a lot bigger and more similar to the Ang Lee/Eric Bana version instead of the Edward Norton/Louis Leterrier version. I don’t think that will be much of a problem as long as Mark Ruffalo can play the role of Bruce Banner properly, which I think he will.
The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo and Samuel L. Jackson. It will be released on May 4th, 2012.
Check out the banner below, thanks to The Film Stage.
