The Artist Trailer Captures 1920’s Vibe Perfectly

Wow, watching the latest trailer for The Artist literally transported me back in time to the 1920’s, where films were shot in black and white and completely silent. Only classical music and strong performances could make a film like this work in modern age and judging by the trailer it’s looking like The Artist isn’t going to have a problem at all getting recognized for its spectacular achievement of recreating the 1920’s! I’ve watched the trailer twice now and I still can’t believe it, I mean just pay attention to every little detail about it. Seeing John Goodman come across the screen sent such a weird signal to my brain. I went from watching a trailer for a movie made in the 1920’s to watching a trailer for a movie made in 2011 that looks like it was made in the 1920’s!

Enough of me and my nonsense, just watch the trailer for yourself, thanks to The Film Stage!

The Artist opens on November 23rd, 2011.
