Summer Movie Guide: July 2012: Week 1

The Amazing Spider-Man

Whether you find it useful or not, it’s here anyway.  Jeremy liked The Amazing Spider-Man and Brad did too.  I’ll see it, probably even in 3D, but I don’t know that I’ll rush to do so.  With the big holiday release, however, it should do well across the board and ratchet up Andrew Garfield for a lot of bigger, meatier roles.

Katy Perry: Part of Me

For Katy Perry fans only, but if you know anything about this movie, you already know that.

Oliver Stone is terribly hit or miss, and I hope this one’s a hit, but I can’t really make heads or tails of it at this point.  Jeremy saw the movie, so keep an eye peeled for his review this weekend.  Looks cool, at the very least.

The Do-Deca Pentathalon

The Duplass Brothers have been creeping up everywhere lately, and this is their latest directorial effort, a goofy comedy much more in the vein of the stuff they’ve done independently than some of their recent, bigger movies.  We’ll bring you a review as soon as we get to check it out.
