Do people even care when this film is coming out anymore? Seriously, the past few months have been flooded with Star Wars: Episode VII rumors and the ones that have been hogging up most of the internet all dealt with the film’s rumored release date.
Today, we have confirmation that J.J. Abrams‘ 3D film will be released into theaters on December 18th, 2015.
I’m not sure how this is a big deal at this point. We all know that Disney has been rushing this thing into production and while it’s good to know that they’ve given Abrams and his team a little more time, it still leaves plenty to worry about.
Has the script even been locked in yet? Who’s even on this project? These are questions that we should be worried about long before the actual release of the film.
And now, a quote from a Disney chairman, to make things sound even more exciting:
“We’re very excited to share the official 2015 release date for Star Wars: Episode VII, where it will not only anchor the popular holiday filmgoing season but also ensure our extraordinary filmmaking team has the time needed to deliver a sensational picture.”
