Jon Watts (Cop Car) will be directing the upcoming Spider-Man reboot for Sony/Marvel. We found that out sometime ago, plus we know Tom Holland is starring as Peter Parker and Marisa Tomei might be Aunt May.
Now, we know that Horrible Bosses and Vacation writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are writing the script, which is slightly confusing.
They’ve mostly only done R-rated raunchy comedies that borderline on being too over-the-top for their own good.
I’ll admit that I’m looking forward to checking out Vacation next week, but their past work hasn’t exactly wowed me.
So why them for the new Spider-Man film? They were once on the shortlist to direct the actual film, but settling for writers credit should be more than fine for the two, but I’m just baffled as to why Sony and Marvel want them penning their third try at Spider-Man?
