Can any studio keep a highly-anticipated film release on track anymore? Do studios purposely announce titles early, just so that they can go and push them back anyways?
The latest film to get a massive ten month delay is Robert Rodriguez‘s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. The film was originally slated for this October, but for reasons unknown it will now be bowing on August 22nd, 2014.
I’m assuming this push is due to visual effects work and possibly because another Rodriguez film (Machete Kills) is dropping in that same original time slot. Don’t want to over-crowd the market with too much Double R, am I right?
