Seth Rogen’s Directorial Debut ‘The Apocalypse’ Gets a Release Date

After continued success in the world of acting, it seems Seth Rogen is finally ready to sit in the director’s chair for the long talked-about film The Apocalyspe, formerly called Jay and Seth Vs. The Apocalypse which was the title of a short film Seth Rogen made with his good friend Jay Baruchel back in 2007.  The video swept across the internet at the time, and people wanted to know when it would come out, and for years both Rogen and Baruchel have talked about it here and there, with nothing concrete to back it up.

Now, Box Office Mojo is listing the movie for a June 14th, 2013 release date, set to begin shooting in the next few weeks. Since the short film, both have had great success in front of the camera, as well as behind it, with Rogen and writing partner Evan Goldberg writing some of the most popular comedies of the past few years like Superbad, Pineapple Express, The Green Hornet, and Neighborhood Watch.  Goldberg also teamed up with Jay Baruchel for the script to the recent hockey comedy Goon, so the trio has proven their talent a few times together.  In addition to the comedy pedigree is the cast, so far consisting of their good friends Jonah Hill, James Franco, Danny McBride, and Craig Robinson.

We’ll bring you more as it comes, with posters, trailer, and all that coming as production ramps up for the film and shooting wraps, but in the meantime, do you want to see this?
