In light of Paramount pushing G.I. Joe: Retaliation back until March, Universal Studios is looking to capitalize on the June 29th release date by pushing forward the Seth MacFarlane directed comedy Ted, starring Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis.
The R-rated comedy about a stuffed teddy-bear looks very similar to MacFarlane’s other projects, but moving up its date is probably the smartest thing they’ve ever done for the film. It was previously slotted for July 13th, which is right before the soon-to-be mega-hit The Dark Knight Rises, which conquers theaters on July 20th, 2012.
Are you happy about the swap? Are you looking forward to Ted or G.I. Joe 2?
