Saw To Return To The Big Screen?

Everyone knew Lionsgate wasn’t done with Saw. They left the last film too open for fans of the series and it was just a matter of time as to when they would return to the series. Lionsgate Vice Chairman Michael Burns said the following to CNBC:

I’m sure, some day, you’ll see Saw back in the picture

It’s very vague, but he answered that when asked about the Saw series. Blood-Disgusting made note that Lionsgate doesn’t really have any franchises to bank on besides the upcoming The Hunger Games. It would make sense for them to let Saw breathe a little before bringing it back.

I’m a fan of the series, but I’ll admit that it was decreasing in quality towards the end. I’m all for another Saw film, but only if they have a legitimate reason to bring it back, like a continuing story. I don’t want them to create even newer side characters and stories just for the sake of adding onto the Saw world. I want them to continue to flesh out the current characters they have. Jigsaw still never got his proper send off.

What are your thoughts on Saw? Are you happy to hear about the series possibly coming back or are you a fan of the latest horror series to take the yearly October by storm; Paranormal Activity?
