Ridley Scott is currently knee-deep in promotion for his latest film The Martian, which is set to be released this fall.
Honestly, The Martian is looking like a winner for all, with audience anticipation soaring high and the studio boldly promoting it as something that must be seen on the largest screen possible.
Scott recently sat down for an interview, which he spilled the beans about his next film and how he’s scouting locations for it. That next film is going to be Prometheus 2, which is kind of shocking to us.
Prometheus was always supposed to make room for sequels, but the general critic and audience disappointment sort of put that on the back-burner, until Scott somehow brought it back into the spotlight.
I’m all for a Prometheus 2, especially if lessons were learned from the first film’s messy script that never quite managed to stick to its hard sci-fi landing.
Regardless, I can’t wait to see who returns in the sequel and where Scott takes things.
