Red Band Trailer For God Bless America

Bobcat Goldthwait‘s World’s Greatest Dad is probably one of the best dark comedies I’ve ever seen. It also managed to squeeze out the best performance from Robin Williams, an actor who I thought had nothing left to give.

This all-new red band trailer for his latest film, God Bless America, manages to be even darker than WGD and absolutely hilarious to boot. The film looks like it will be his darkest piece of work yet, which makes this instantly jump up on my must see list.

I don’t recall the last time I’ve seen a film look this dark, especially getting a release in theaters and on demand. I’m honestly surprised he was able to get this film made at all.

God Bless America stars Joel Murray and Tara Lynne Barr and I cannot wait to see it when it hits theaters on May 11th and VOD on April 6th.

Synopsis:

Loveless, jobless and possibly terminally ill, Frank has had enough of the downward spiral of America. With nothing left to lose, Frank takes his gun and decides to off the stupidest, cruelest and most repellent members of society with an unusual accomplice: 16-year-old Roxy, who shares his sense of rage and disenfranchisement. From stand-up comedian and director Bobcat Goldthwait comes a scathing and hilarious attack on all that is sacred in the United States of America.
