Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice might’ve tanked theatrically and stirred up some trouble for WB and DC’s planned cinematic universe, but I totally dug the flick, warts and all.
I’m not saying that it’s perfect, but I will say that Zack Snyder‘s film isn’t all bad. There’s a lot of good that has been created, especially Ben Affleck‘s Batman. I dug his take on the character and Snyder’s eye for action.
Sure, the film sort of ruins the character of Superman, while also trying to rush in too many things related to the Justice League, but it’s still a good film!
The film is heading to home video this July and digital download at the end of June, with a promised R-rated extended cut, which will feature an additional 28 minutes.
I’m curious to see if this additional footage helps smooth out some of the film’s rougher spots or if it’s simply an R-rated cash grab with barely enough new action to be worthy of the R rating.
I’m remaining hopeful and excited.
