Ridley Scott‘s newest sci-fi film Prometheus has been surrounded in secrecy. For the longest time all we knew about the film was that it has some sort of relationship with one of his previous films, Alien. No one knew how it had ties with the sci-fi classic, but when first images leaked (containing similar set pieces from Alien) we knew something was up.
Now, EW has the latest scoop. Several images will be featured in the magazine; with Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace and Logan Marshall-Green.
I personally love the images. They show enough to keep you interested, but they don’t really tell you much about what the film is really about. I like that the beans haven’t been spilled yet. I trust Ridley Scott as a director and I know he’ll deliver something promising. The atmosphere of the pictures has the classic Alien look and feel and the cast he’s assembled is equally impressive. How it will exactly tie in with Alien isn’t really that important at this point. He’ll make a lot of people happy as long as he makes another truly great sci-fi masterpiece. He looks like he’s on the right track!

Prometheus is scheduled for a theatrical release in 3D on June 8th, 2012.
The film stars Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Logan Marshall-Green, Idris Elba, Charlize Theron, Patrick Wilson and Guy Pearce.
Here is the vague synopsis:
A team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
