Calling Peter Jackson a hard worker is clearly an understatement. Post production on something as large as The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is probably a lengthy and very time-consuming process. Try doing that two more times with The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and The Hobbit: There and Back Again.
Jackson clearly doesn’t want to waste any time between Hobbit films, so he’s dedicating his entire life to the process. Now throw on a Tintin sequel.
The original plan was for Steven Spielberg to direct the first Adventures of Tintin film, with Jackson as producer. Then, the two would swap roles and Jackson would direct with Spielberg producing. Most thought Jackson’s involvement wouldn’t be happening any more, since he’s so consumed with everything Hobbit, but we’ve been told otherwise.
It’s looking like Jackson will start production on Tintin 2 while working on post-production stuff for The Hobbit sequels. Don’t expect much from Tintin 2 until its rumored 2015 release though, because Jackson will most-likely be working specifically on the motion-capture elements of the film and not much else until his Hobbit schedule clears up.
