NYCC kicks off this weekend, which means tons of new footage and posters for various films. Two specific films that I’d like to single out are Kim Jee-woon‘s The Last Stand, starring action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead and Lionsgate’s sequel to the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre titled Texas Chainsaw 3D.
Both films will be hitting in January 2013, with Texas Chainsaw 3D slicing its way into 3D theaters on January 4th and The Last Stand on January 18th.
The Last Stand‘s poster is a comic-book take on the very comic-booky story of the film. It works and it promises fun, which is all we can ask for when a film stars an aged Schwarzenegger.
Texas Chainsaw 3D’s poster is more focused on reminding audiences that it’s a direct sequel to the original and not the prequels. It also gives us a chunky-looking Leatherface that looks more hungry than angry.
Which of these two is your favorite?
