In a somewhat odd choice, Michael Fassbender has plans to produce and star in a live-action version of the popular video game series Assassin’s Creed. I’m not sure why he’d want to attach himself to such a project, especially knowing that almost all video game adaptations end up sucking. Fassbender has been knocking out roles left and right, most recently starring in Prometheus, Haywire, X-Men: First Class and Shame.
I have no clue why he’d want to invest his money and skills into a film that will most likely end up doing more bad than good.
Variety reports that Fassbender will be working closely with Ubisoft on adapting the game to the big screen.
Do you think this is a good idea?
