Michael Bay briefly had a chance to show us his talents with this year’s hilarious Pain & Gain. Now, he’s being sucked back into the world of Transformers for a fourth go.
Word has it that he might follow it with a movie adaptation of the popular video game Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon.
The film, which would be made over at WB, would follow a group of U.S. Army Special Forces.
This sounds right up Bay’s alley and will most likely not include any giant robots, which means that I’m excited and hoping for an R rating. Bay is a solid director with a strong sense for visuals and over-the-top silliness and that works well in stuff like Bad Boys II or Pain & Gain and not so much Transformers.
A Ghost Recon movie could be exactly what Bay needs to re-establish himself as one of the better action movie directors working in the field today.
