Marvel is slowly taking over the world, thanks to Disney and thanks to the teaming of Joss Whedon/Kevin Feige. Fox is looking for a way into that pile of money by hiring Kick-Ass creator Mark Millar to oversee all of their future Marvel projects. This includes the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, The Wolverine and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
What’s interesting to note about this announcement is that Millar isn’t the most popular in the comic book world when it comes to his work on the X-Men and Fantastic Four series’. Bad Ass Digest‘s Devin Faraci mentions Millar’s work being some of the worst and this makes me seriously worried.
Exactly how big is his role in Fox’s upcoming films? We all know that Christopher Nolan is overseeing Zack Snyder‘s Man of Steel, but I’m sure he’s just offering a helping hand.
Will Millar overstep his boundaries or does he not have any?
Here’s a quote mentioning a shared universe:
“We look for fresh opportunities to innovate within our shared Marvel universe.”
