Let’s Celebrate Marvel’s Phase 1 & 2 Journey

Yesterday marks the release of James Gunn‘s Guardians of the Galaxy. This might not seem like much to most, but to others it’s one of Marvel’s biggest and boldest moves yet, as they attempt to expand beyond our own galaxy in their ever-growing phases of movies.

First, they started small and built on heroes that we already knew and then they got us comfortable with characters that were always a little more edgy and weird and now they’re fully embracing everything in their wheelhouse, which includes a gun-totting racoon and a talking tree.

Yes, these are different days as Marvel’s stranger characters are finally coming to the screen and in a big way.

None of this would have been possible without the success and commitment from Marvel that involved bringing us some great stories and characters to the big screen in a way that’s fun, fresh, exciting and still faithful to the comic book origins.

Hooray Marvel, for going where no one else has ever gone in the world of merging comic books and films together into one form of ultimate entertainment.
