The Fast and the Furious films have slowly been edging on complete ridiculousness since they started deviating from the standard car racing model with Fast Five.
That is one heck of a perfect action film, while the rest have sort of teetered too far on one side versus the other.
Admittedly, Furious 7 works better than it should, both because of James Wan‘s direction and the fact that they were able to sendoff Paul Walker with the proper respects.
Now, The Fate of the Furious is looking to return to the over-the-top glory that almost ruined Fast & Furious 6 completely.
This bloated and action-stuffed 3 minute trailer reveals one of the most dumb and eye-rolling moments of the franchise, but I’m still excited to see how it plays out. I’m talking about the remote car scene, but I guess I could also be talking about Dwayne Johnson diverting a missile.
When are these guys going to space?
