‘Jurassic Park 4’ Officially Put On Hold

Is Universal actually going to go through with making Jurassic Park 4? It’s been so long since the disappointing third entry and at this point I think it would be best to just let it rest.

They picked director Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) not too long ago to bring the film to life and he even tweeted a scouting picture (see above), but then a wave of negative tweets started coming in, saying something along the lines of “Hollywood makes and crushes dreams. Goodbye JP4” or “JP4 on hold”.

And now Universal has shifted it from its June 2014 date to an undetermined one, which means it’s currently on the shelf.

They did release this press statement, but it sounds like they’re simply covering up the tracks:

The studio and filmmakers adequate time to bring audiences the best possible version of the fourth installment in Universal’s beloved franchise.

Also, it looks like Bryce Dallas Howard and David Oyelowo are in talks to star in the film.

Would you care if Jurassic Park 4 slipped into extinction?
