The cast for Universal’s Jurassic World keeps growing and growing. It was recently announced that The Kings of Summer star Nick Robinson has joined the cast that already includes Bryce Dallas Howard and Ty Simpkins. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, an Oscar-nominated actor is in talks for a lead role. According to the report, Oldboy star Josh Brolin is in talks for a leading role in the anticipated sequel.
Details on Brolin’s role are currently being kept under wraps. Production is expected to begin in early 2014 in Hawaii, so it’s expected that we’ll discover some story details soon enough as production nears. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are producing the sequel. Steven Spielberg, who’s reportedly heavily involved with the casting process, is executive producing.
Jurassic World will arrive in theaters on June 12th, 2015. Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) will direct the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Derek Connolly.
