Oscar-nominated actress Jessica Chastain is going to be busy for the next year or two. Just a couple days ago, it was announced that Chastain is going to be the lead in the film adaptation of Diane Ackerman’s 2008 novel The Zookeepers Wife. Now Deadline reports that Chastain has joined the cast for Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar. She will be joining the recently confirmed Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway in the ambitious sci-fi epic.
It’s been reported that Christopher Nolan will be merging an original idea of his own with the script that his brother. Jonathan Nolan had already written when Steven Spielberg was attached to direct. The film centers on a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding. The film will be co-produced and distributed by Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros.
With the addition of the always impressive Chastain, this cast just keeps getting better and better. Expect more casting announcements in the coming weeks. Interstellar is set to arrive in conventional and IMAX theaters on November 7th, 2014.
