Today, we have the trailer for a new documentary on the life of kung fu’s first superstar, Bruce Lee, who tragically died well before his time. Lee left a legacy that would later crown him as “Father of Martial Arts Films”, a moniker that follows his name to this day. In the new documentary by Pete McCormack, the legend is covered via archival footage, interviews, and a wide variety of celebrities commenting on Lee’s influence on their own careers and on cinema in general.
MMA stars such as Jon Jones, Stephan Bonnar, and Gina Carano give insight into how Lee helped to shape their lives, while other celebrities like Kobe Bryant, Mickey Rourke, Manny Pacquiao, and Ed O’Neill also share their thoughts on the prodigious young fighter who forever changed the cinema landscape.
The documentary is said to premiere tomorrow, February 9th, but I’m not sure where, so if/when we learn more news on this one, we’ll be the first to let you know. In the meantime, check out the trailer for yourself:
