G4 Pulls Ryan Dunn’s New Show Following His Death

According to Deadline, G4 is pulling Ryan Dunn‘s new show following his death this morning. G4 has put his new show on an indefinite hiatus. Proving Ground featured Jackass alum as he tried to recreate professional stunts from films and TV shows as well as ones from video games and such. His series, which had eight episodes finished, started very slowly last week with 31,000 viewers for its premiere.

“The show will not be airing for now and discussions are underway for future plans,” a G4 spokeswoman said. G4 released a statement this morning upon hearing the news about the fatal accident with Dunn and one passenger. “All of us at G4 are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic news that Ryan Dunn has passed away. Ryan’s comedic wit and signature no-holds-barred approach made him an incredible talent and his work on G4’s Proving Ground was flawless. Ryan will be missed dearly by his legion of fans and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.”

I personally haven’t seen this series but I could just imagine how great it would be. I liked Ryan Dunn and was truly saddened when I heard about this tragic accident. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Margera and Dunn families, who I’m sure are going through a very, very rough time right now. Dunn was 34 years of age, way to young to pass away.

RIP Ryan Dunn
