The latest Roman Polanski film, Carnage, is only a few months away from release and it has yet to debut a trailer. Only a few production images have been released, like the one featured above, and now this latest French poster, which can be viewed below. The film isn’t the type that usually generates tons of cash at the box office, but I still think it could bring in a decent amount considering the actors involved and the director at hand. Plus, it’s based on the Tony-winning play called God of Carnage, so that brings in film goers and fans of theater!
I’m really excited for this film because of several reasons. The first being that its directed by Roman Polanski, a man who has made such classic films like Rosemary’s Baby and Chinatown. The second being the cast, which consists of Jodie Foster, Christoph Waltz, John C. Reilly and Kate Winslet. No, those aren’t just the main stars, but actually the whole entire cast. Which leads me to the third reason why I am excited for this film, the plot, which can be viewed below.
Tells the story of two sets of parents who decide to have a cordial meeting after their sons are involved in a schoolyard brawl.
A very ordinary story set in one room. Directed by a skilled filmmaker and starring four phenomenal actors. It sounds so simple yet so damn unique. I can’t wait to see how it all plays out. The film is billed as a comedy/drama, so that opens up the doors for a lot.
Carnage is scheduled for release in the U.S. on November 18th, 2011.
