Forest Whitaker Joins ‘Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One’

Godzilla director Gareth Edwards has been tasked with the first Star Wars spinoff film, titled Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One.

Plot details are sparse, with only a few stars confirmed on the project, which is being described as something “dark and gritty” when compared to the other films.

I know that’s not much, but now we have confirmation that star Forest Whitaker has joined the cast in an unknown role, which hints at the film’s quality, but not exactly the story or plot.

The film isn’t supposed to land until late 2016, so I wouldn’t be too surprised if things are kept tightly under wraps until J.J. AbramsStar Wars: Episode VII lands this December.
