Timur Bekmambetov isn’t exactly a world class filmmaker, but he’s occasionally a decent action director when it comes to pure visuals. His latest victim or should I say “film” is the latest Ben-Hur remake, which stars Morgan Freeman sporting perhaps the weirdest hairdo of recent memory.
The first trailer has arrived and it promises nothing more than a modernized version of the familiar tale, told slightly different with up-to-date effects and action cuts.
I for one enjoyed the beginning of the trailer, but thought that it quickly fell in line with other recent epics.
