After premiering this past May at the Cannes Film Festival, Alexander Payne’s black and white road trip drama Nebraska will be making its way to theaters this winter. To prove that the film is on its way, the first trailer and poster have arrived online. Check them out below.
Nebraska stars Bruce Dern as an aging, booze-addled father who makes the trip from Montana to Nebraska with his estranged son (Will Forte) in order to claim a million dollar sweepstakes prize.
The film received fairly positive reviews at Cannes, most notably for the performances by Dern and Forte. The film itself looks like it’s going to be a charming, low-key comedy. Payne is a master of directing films with strong characters and humanistic storytelling. It appears that this film will fit right into Payne’s repertoire. The film co-stars June Squibb, Stacy Keach, and Bob Odenkirk.
Paramount Pictures will be releasing Nebraska into limited theaters on November 22nd. What do you think?
