Eli Roth hasn’t been behind a camera as a director in a few years now, but he’s always actively producing and even starring in films. His latest starring/producing effort is Nicolas Lopez‘s Aftershock. The film follows a group of American tourists as they party in Chile and get a first-hand experience of Mother Nature, by way of an earthquake. What follows is being described as your typical blood & guts Roth-centered film.
Admittedly the concept sounds interesting enough to warrant a ticket purchase, plus the trailer shows enough chaos and destruction to grab the horror-buffs attention, but is the film merely a shock effort or a genuine piece of horror?
We’ll find out when it releases next year.
