First Trailer For Michael Bay’s ’13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi’

Finally, another non-Transformers film from director Michael Bay. See, most dislike Bay’s filmmaking style purely based on the projects that he surrounds himself with and not because of his actual style and craft behind the lens of big-budget productions.

Bad Boys II remains one of his best pieces of work, with the darkly masterful Pain & Gain just edging it out as Bay’s best film.

Bay is back in R-rated territory with his latest war film 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.

I’m sure Bay’s approach to the material will be overly patriotic and sometimes idiotic, but the man knows how to shoot action and make it look good.

I am slightly confused by this red band trailer, which is almost identical to the green band trailer which was released at the same time.

I’m mostly looking forward to seeing some of the action, with Bay finally given free reign on just how much he can shoot and get away with.

The film opens in January. Check out the trailer above.
