I really do miss the days when people would say that a new M. Night Shyamalan movie is coming out and we’d all get excited. Signs and Unbreakable are two great films, directed with skill and precision by Mr. Shyamalan, while his more recent films haven’t exactly lived up to his name.
The director has fallen a long way from his former glory, but maybe he has a chance to reclaim that with his upcoming thriller, The Visit.
For starters, this film looks scary and eerie in a way that reminds me of old — classic Shyamalan, while the found-footage angle definitely doesn’t feel like his style, but maybe he’s simply adapting to the changing filmmaking times?
The Visit comes out in September and I’m curious if anyone else out there gives a damn, aside from me?
