The first poster for Warm Bodies is here, and the film will be getting its first trailer very soon here. The movie actually opens February 1st, which is really only a few months away, so we can expect the promotional materials to be ramped up quite a bit in coming weeks.
The film is directed by Jonathan Levine, who blew up last year with 50/50, but he also made the terrific films The Wackness and All the Boys Love Mandy Lane before that one. The plot for Warm Bodies follows “R, a zombie who becomes involved with the girlfriend of one of his victims, their romance sets in motion a sequence of events that might transform the entire lifeless world.”
Nicholas Hoult, of X-Men: First Class and the seemingly doomed Jack the Giant Slayer will star as R, and Teresa Palmer (from Take Me Home Tonight and Bedtime Stories) stars as the girlfriend, but even though the storyline sounds pretty lame, I implicitly trust everything Levine does after everything he’s directed has been terrific (even his episode of How to Make It In America was great), so I’m interesting in seeing this one.
