In his follow-up to the 2012 comedy hit Ted, writer and director Seth MacFarlane is going western for the anticipated comedy A Million Ways To Die In The West. MacFarlane co-wrote and directed the original comedy, which he stars in as a sheep farmer who falls in love with a notorious outlaw’s beautiful wife (Charlize Theron).

Universal has revealed the first image from the film, which showcases MacFarlane, Theron, Neil Patrick Harris, and Amanda Seyfried in character. Not pictured in the photo are Liam Neeson, Sarah Silverman, and Giovanni Ribisi.

Official Synopsis:

After a cowardly sheep farmer (MacFarlane) backs out of a gunfight, his fickle girlfriend leaves him for another man. When a mysterious and beautiful woman (Theron) rides into town, she helps him find his courage and they begin to fall in love. When her husband, a notorious outlaw, arrives seeking revenge, the farmer must put his newfound courage to the test.

The film reunites MacFarlane with his Ted producers Scott Stuber and Jason Clark, as well as Family Guy collaborators and the film’s co-writers Wellesley Wild and Alec Sulkin.

Universal will release A Million Ways To Die In The West on May 30th. Are you looking forward to this?
