David Ayer’s WWII drama Fury starring Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena, and Jon Bernthal has officially started production. On his Twitter page, the End of Watch director posted a promotional image featuring the ensemble cast on top of their tank (pictured above).
Fury follows Allied troops commanded by a martial army sergeant called Wardaddy (Pitt). As the troops who are outnumbered and outgunned make a last ditch effort to drive their way in the European Theater, a Sherman tank and her crew find themselves tapped behind enemy lines on a deadly mission. Led by Wardaddy, the five-man unit finds the cards stacked against them as the attempt to strike at the core of Nazi Germany.
There is no doubt in my mind that this will be a film worth paying close attention to. Not only does the film have a strong ensemble cast but also David Ayer, who directed the fantastic thriller End of Watch, is behind the camera for this. Sony must have a lot of faith in the project as they are planning on releasing the film on November 14th, 2014. Are you looking forward to this?
