First Look At Ridley Scott’s ‘The Martian’, Starring Matt Damon

Ridley Scott has been on a losing streak as of late, with Exodus: Gods and Kings tanking last winter (and for good reasons), plus the disappointment that was Prometheus, which I actually really enjoyed.

Now, he’s back in space working with Matt Damon on The Martian, which is based on a novel about a man stranded on Mars trying to figure out a way to make it safely back home.

Drew Goddard adapted the material, which gives me hope that Scott’s visual side will takeover and do the material justice.

Today, we’ve got our first look at the film, thanks to Empire.

I’m eagerly awaiting a trailer.

The Martian opens in theaters on November 25th, 2015.
