Jamie Foxx will be playing Electro in Marc Webb‘s upcoming sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Up until this point we’ve only seen bits and pieces of the new Spider-Man suit, while also finding out a lot about casting information. Now, we’ve been given our first look at Foxx playing Electro and the choice is definitely interesting.
I’m sure official photos will surface and give us a more proper look at the whole costume, but right now my first reactions are simply, “eh”.
I’ve never been the biggest Electro fan, so I can’t tell you how close this is to the source material, but I can say that I’m looking forward to seeing Foxx playing in a comic book movie of this caliber.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set for release in May.
