Here is the first still released for the upcoming action flick Bullet to the Head, starring Sylvester Stallone. It’s based on the graphic novel by Matz and Colin Wilson, and the film is now being directed by genre veteran Walter Hill (48 Hours movies, The Warriors, The Driver, Streets of Fire, Undisputed, the list goes on) who was Stallone’s first pick to replace director Wayne Kramer (The Cooler, Running Scared) when Kramer and Stallone had differing views on how to make the film. If Kramer was against the axe in this photo, I’m glad he’s gone.
Here’s the synopsis:
“[Stallone teams] with a young NYPD detective in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of Washington, D.C. The unlikely duo, brought together by two vicious murders, take on all who stand in their way, and are willing to sacrifice everything to exact revenge.“
Looks like another reason for Sly to viciously shoot, maim, and kill people. Bullet to the Head also stars Christian Slater and Jason Mamoa, and it’s coming April 13th, 2012, which is a lot sooner than it sounds. Look for a trailer soon, especially since Stallone’s name is in the consciousnesses again with the poster/teaser for The Expendables 2 getting a lot of people talking.
